QBox is a fully shielded breakout box specialized for electronics labs and low-temperature experiments. QBox extends the cryostat Faraday cage from a 24-pin Fischer connector to a convenient 24-channel BNC connector panel.

Simplifying the
Measurement Process

All wiring inside the QBox is done in twisted pairs for the best noise immunity. Switches enable connecting each channel directly to the ground or a common bus, significantly simplifying ESD-sensitive multi-terminal device measurement.

Easy to Set Up

QBox helps protect samples with a flexible, low-noise cable assembly, which extends the cryostat shield to the QBlox breakout box.  With a common bus channel, it’s easy to connect, for example, a sensor or a fixed resistor, to numerous channels.

Customers’ Success Using QFilter

Key Features

  • Each channel can be grounded or connected to a common bus
  • Inside QBox, wires are twisted in pairs as 1-2, 3-4, …, 23-24
  • Available with two port numbering versions:  1 to 24 and 25 to 48
  • Fits in a standard 19” rack, occupying a height of 4U
  • Inside the Fischer cable, wires are configured as individually shielded twisted pairs
  • An outer metal braid provides improved shielding and grounding
